Denise Haynes currently serves as the Corporate Compliance Officer at MedCentral Health System in Mansfield, Ohio. In addition to "other duties as assigned" for the health system, Ms. Haynes serves as a Senior Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. In this role, Ms. Haynes evaluates applicants against established criteria for the Baldrige award and has led multiple team site visits. She has also facilitated examiner training at the national level, and serves as a judge for the Ohio Partnership for Excellence.

In addition to analysis based upon established criteria, Ms. Haynes has been quite active in conducting research regarding additional quality measures. These measures focus on government programs and quality initiatives, as well as the impact of pay-for-performance mechanisms as they relate to the quality outcomes of a health care organization.

Ms. Haynes’ surveyor experience, accompanied by her clinical expertise as a Registered Nurse, and knowledge of regulatory and business aspects of healthcare, give her a solid platform from which to speak about today’s health care system. Ms. Haynes travels across the country addressing issues in health care associated with risk management strategies and health care quality principles. Locally, Ms. Haynes concentrates her efforts on compliance issues for health care workers, process improvement, strategies for teaching adults, and improvement the health of individuals as well as healthcare systems.

Ms. Haynes is an excellent knowledge resource who has spent time directing clinical management, outcomes management, and quality assurance throughout several institutions. These positions were supported by her degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The Ohio State University, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Business Administration from Kent State University.
